Bollinger creates limited edition champagne for James Bond film, Spectre

Champagne marque, Bollinger has created two new limited editions of bubbly specially to mark the release of the James Bond film Spectre on Monday October 26, 2015.

The Champagne Bollinger Spectre Limited Edition is a unique Bollinger cuvee (available at N37, 670.21 (£125)), from the 2009 vintage, notable for its aromatic elegance. In a playful tribute to 007 – who has drunk Bollinger in every film since 1973’s Live and Let Die – the bottle comes encased in a sleek black and silver Carré Basset cool box, with an exterior inspired by the texture of the gun grip on Bond’s famous Walther PPK. Perfect for taking fizz on secret missions.

For those wishing to mark the premiere with something more remarkable, Bollinger has also created the Bollinger Spectre Crystal Set N1, 054, 626.61 (£3,500), which features a magnum of the very rare Bollinger RD 1988, a wine celebrated among connoisseurs for its exceptional richness and length. According to FT’s How To Spend It, this rare champagne is housed in one of just 307 hand-blown Saint-Louis crystal coolers created by French designer Eric Berthès. With a base designed to evoke the barrel of a gun, and a cabochon marked with the insignia of Spectre (an octopus), this highly collectable, numbered limited edition is the ultimate fizz for die-hard fans of the world’s most famous secret agent.
