Da Viva’s Eclectic Outing At AFWN 2016

Tall, skinny models with gorgeous hairdos strut the runway as soon as the first show for the second day of the 2016 Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN) began on Saturday July 2, 2016. These models showcased some of the finest pieces by Nigerian designers who used colourful Da Viva Fabric.

Da Viva has proudly supported AFWN since its maiden edition in London in 2011 says Stephen Dutton, marketing manager, Da Viva. “At Da Viva,” he explains, “we believe AFWN shares the same dream and vision of providing platform for upcoming and established designers to showcase their creative works to Nigerians and other parts of the world.”

This year, Da Viva sponsored five designers—House of Salem, Mcstell, Eminence1129, Nipo Skin and Asake Oge, to create ten eclectic yet edgy piece each from casual, bridal to haute couture ready-to-wear.

The highlight of the fashion week is Da Viva’s unveiling of its limited edition pure silk patterned tie and die fabric.  Carol Ahere, communications manager, Da Viva says Da Viva decided to add pure silk to its collection in a bid to satisfy consumers.

We aim to satisfy our high end consumers,” she explains, “who are willing to go the extra mile to look good. “The pure silk comes in five yards and it is very beautiful. The cool feel on your skin with the geometric patterns make it unique. They are available at all Da Viva stores nationwide.”

Visitors who visited Da Viva stand at the fashion week were treated to some of the best colourful fabrics the brand is known for.
