Poverty in Nigeria has been a problem for more than 50 percent of the population in the past thirty one years. Therefore, Chaste Benefit is commemorating the birthday of its founder, Chaste Igbinedion, with a give-back birthday party holding on the 31st of January 2016 at Heart of Gold orphanage, Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria.
“We will work together for a common cause to support children at the Heart of Gold,” said Igbinedion in a statement, “by making them start the New Year on a High Note and to continue the ‘Giving Garage plan for 2016’ after successfully hosting of the Green Giving Yuletide on the 29th of December 2015 at the Lions Village Motherless Babies Home, Lekki. This is going to be the second in our Orphanage Series while the third one ends on February 14th 2016 at the Little Saints Orphanage.
“To achieve this, we intend to get at least 31 of Chaste’s friends, close associates of Giving Garage and public spirited individuals or brands to Donate at least N3100 to this Cause before the 30th of January 2016. We are raising items for the Home.”
According to him, ‘The Giving Garage’ was created to serve as a Solution Space to assist Social Innovators in carrying out their various social good tasks. “The creation of the Giving Garage is an adoption of the Global ‘Giving Tower’ to show Nigeria’s Impact on #GivingTuesday as a collaborative effort through helpful crowdfunding in assisting Charities.”
