Oba Sijuwade handbag
TPS Luxury has unveiled its new collection of handmade bags which pays homage to African royalty. The totes in the collection are made of African prints, Aso oke, Adire perfectly blended with leather and embellished with pearls, broken beads and Swarovski crystals.
One of the edgy designs in the collection is the Oba Sijuwade hand embellished handbags that come in limited edition of 11 pieces. Named after the late Ooni of Ife Oba Okunade Sijuwade, these pieces are made of unique variants of Aso oke including black and sea green velvet, two important fabrics synonymous with the royal lineage in Yorubaland.
Equally interesting are the ES clutches named after the wife of former Inspector General of Police, Agarese Arase. Made of Ankara fabric, the clutches are hand embellished with tiny broken beads used by Fendi in some of his beaded handbag collections.
MD handbag named after Morin Desalu comes in limited of 12 pieces. A fully beaded bag, it is made of African print sourced from Nigeria. Also, The FA design is named after world richest black woman, Folorunsho Alakija. It is made of African print embellished with pure Swarovski crystals used to make a flowery pattern at the centre. The edges are laid with gold metal.

All the pieces in the new collection are a celebration of the finest of African craftsmanship as Princess Adebowale Odutola pays homage to her royal lineage with all the notable women and men she named the bags after.
