The well-lit stage would later set the tone for the W Awards after an interesting session at the annual, Access Conference, organised by Access Bank held at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Thursday.
The nominees had earlier walked the red carpet in their gorgeous outfit anxiously waiting to know who wins. Eventually, the moment everyone was awaiting with baited breath came. The winners of the W awards were about to be announced.
Bukky George emerged winner as the W Entrepreneur of the year (W in Business). She was recognised as an entrepreneur who has built a successful business. She is found to be fully engaged and active in the day-to-day running and decision-making in her business.
Rashidat Adebisi was winner in the W Young Professional of the Year category. This category recognised Adebisi as a young woman who is making significant contributions in her chosen professions in her organisation. She has the drive to reach the top of their careers.
The next category was the W Seasoned Professional of the Year and Iquo Ukoh was announced the winner. She was recognised as a woman who has made a significant and direct contribution to the growth and advancement of her chosen professions.
The three W Amazons, Folake Solanke, Bolanle Awe and Alele Williams were all announced as winners.

The Awardees have shown themselves to be selfless in their approach to work and family life and they have achieved exemplary success by promoting, inspiring and contributing outstanding achievement while leading a balanced lifestyle.
Hubert Wigwe, Access Bank, managing director says the W Awards is positioned to recognize and celebrate Nigerian women who defy all odds to stand out successfully; highlighting the important contribution that women are making in the Nigerian emerging economy.
The awards have been designed around the three major categories of women represented by the W Initiative. It incorporates and celebrates the many different roles that women play in the society.
