Some years back when I searched for African images online, I only saw some children without clothes in a desert somewhere. I saw images of chaos and anarchy. 70% of the images were not visually appealing.
This is what many people in other countries believed Africa is as a continent. So, it is my intention to change that perception one frame at a time. Today, the images have improved drastically but we still have a long way to go.
This experience motivated me to start Twelve05 Photography in 2012. It is a photography service company focused on products, brands, commercial/advertising and weddings photography.
Some of our services include product photography. This arm of the business focuses on creating images for your company products thereby making it visually appealing for advertising. For example, some product might be made up of different elements like silver, gold and maybe some Ankara texture. In cases like this, we create the right lighting to differentiate, the silver from the gold from the texture. This is what makes it visually appealing. We are also into company brands. This arm focuses on portrait photography for the people behind the company.
We do commercial/advertising which focuses on promoting businesses. The entire photoshoot will be devoted to the company product that is being photographed and since it is advertising, every element that make up the shot is carefully placed so as not to distract the viewers attention from what is being sold. This service utilizes a lot of marketing so we generally work with creative directors and company marketers in order to bring the image to life.
In addition, we do shoot for weddings. It spans for days and it involves working together as a team with the couple to get the best out of the photography. It is a very important day in their lives and has to be captured properly.
We are best known for product photography because we concentrate on details and customer service. Great customer relationship with the clients and ensuring we deliver more than the customer expects set us apart.
When a customer walks into our business they can expect professionalism and quality.
